When to Refresh a Pricing Dashboard—and When to Leave It Alone
Signals that your pricing performance views need a rebuild versus a light recalibration after assortment or calendar changes.
Pricing performance dashboards age when assortment, promo calendars, or KPI definitions shift. A refresh is warranted when category owners stop trusting a tile, when a new festive calendar introduces gift sets the model never saw, or when finance changes how promo funding is coded.
Leave the dashboard alone when the only request is a new colour or a vanity metric nobody will cite in a meeting. Light recalibration—updating SKU lists, remapping a promo flag—often restores trust without a full rebuild.
Ask one question before commissioning work: which decision will this change next quarter? If the answer is vague, tighten the brief before redrawing charts.
